Dr. Waseem Farra

Dr. Waseem Farra is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. He completed his residency training at Kettering Medical Center/ Wright State University in Dayton, OH and his Pulmonary/ Critical Care/Sleep Medicine fellowship at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, MI.  

 

Dr. Farra is the a member of the teaching staff at Providence Hospital and Medical Center and has received the John Romanik Award for Teaching Excellence in Family Practice. He was also chosen by the Providence Hospital nursing staff to receive the Physician Excellence Award.

 

Dr. Farra is the Section Chief for Pulmonary Medicine and Director of Respiratory Care, St. John Providence Hospital, Western Region.

Dr. Muhammad Ehtesham is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. He completed both his residency training and Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Medicine fellowship at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.  

 

As a member of the teaching staff at Providence Hospital and Medical Center, he works with medical students and medical residents giving them firsthand experience in pulmonary and sleep medicine in both hospital and office settings.

Doctor Irina Shanidze

Dr. Irina Shanidze joined Consultants in Sleep & Pulmonary Medicine in August 2007. She is board-eligible in the specialties of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine and completed her Pulmonary/ Critical Care/ Sleep Medicine fellowship at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.  

 

Dr. Shanidze is the Medical Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension program at the Providence Heart Institute.

Dr. Harvey Organek is the Medical Director of the sleep lab at Consultants in Sleep. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary Disease and Sleep Disorders Medicine.

 

Dr. Organek founded the practice in 1988 and was one of the pioneers of free-standing sleep centers in the state of Michigan. He has served as President of the Michigan Sleep Disorders Association and currently serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of United Physicians Group.

Doctor Emad Shehada

Doctor Syed Kazmi

Dr. Syed Kazmi joined Consultants in Sleep & Pulmonary Medicine in July 2012 upon completion of his Critical Care Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. Previously Dr. Kazmi was a faculty member in the hospitalist division of the department of internal medicine at Henry Ford.

 

Dr. Kazmi’s practice is hospital based in the intensive care units at Providence Park and Providence Southfield Hospitals.

Dr. Emad Shehada joined the staff of Consultants in Sleep & Pulmonary Medicine in July 2012 upon completion of his Pulmonary/Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Fellowship at Wayne State University.

 

He was previously a staff physician in internal medicine at William Beaumont Hospital and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Public Health at Wayne State University. Dr. Shehada’s area of interest in Pulmonary Medicine is lung cancer and during his training he was involved in research projects at Wayne State related to this condition.

 

Dr. Shehada is currently accepting new sleep and respiratory patients at the Farmington Hills office.

Dr. Sanford Sklar

Dr. Sklar has been in practice for more than 20 years in the specialties of sleep medicine and pulmonary medicine, and  is board certified in pulmonary and critical care medicine.  He completed his residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac and his Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship through Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Detroit.  

 

Dr. Sklar has served as Assistant Clinical Professor at Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine and has received the Medical Educator of the Year Award.   His professional affiliations include Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

 

Dr. Sanford Sklar joined CSPM in August 2013, and he welcomes both new and former patients.

Dr. Prabhat Sinha joined Consultants in Sleep & Pulmonary Medicine in October 2013.  He specializes in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, as well as Sleep Medicine.  He is board certified in Sleep Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.  

 

Dr. Sinha received his medical degree from Midwestern University/Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and then completed his Internal Medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.  Thereafter, he completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at The University of Cincinnati and a Sleep Medicine fellowship at Wayne State University.

 

Dr. Sinha is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, The American College of Chest Physicians, The American Thoracic Society and the European Respiratory Society.  He has served as a Clinical Instructor at Henry Ford Hospital, Macomb and at Wright State University in Dayton, OH.  Currently he is an instructor in the Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Providence Hospital.
